SAFE MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY LOCATOR ON WEB AND MOBILE PLATFORMS

The Management staff of Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) held a meeting on the developed  Safe -X Ray application designed by the Authority to equip the public with detailed locations of safe and licenced Medical diagnostic radiology facilities in the nation.

The application is also developed to educate the general public on the danger of unsafe practices involving the use of ionizing radiation. 

The DG/ CEO, Dr. Idris Yau, said the primary aim is to ensure there is absolute protection of life, and health from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation and to bring more medical practices involving the use of ionizing radiation under regulatory control.

He encouraged the ICT expert to ensure that the application serves the purpose of which it's being created daily.

The Safe X-Ray application can be accessed via www.safexray.nnra.gov.ng, and also downloadable through the AppStore or PlayStore.
