Mr. Humphrey Mac-Eteli

Mr. Mac-Eteli, Humphrey is a seasoned Regulator in the areas of radiation protection, safety and Security of Radioactive sources as well as Nuclear materials. He joined the NNRA in 2006. Employed as a Regulatory Officer, he carried out safety inspections and was one time head of the licensing unit where he supervised all activities associated with issuance of licenses including developing licensing conditions for various practices. He rose through the ranks to become an Assistant General Manager. 

Mr. Mac-Eteli is an indigene of Bayelsa State. He attended Sea Shell Primary School, and Federal Government College, Port Harcourt. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Calabar and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Resource Management from Nassarawa State University, Keffi where he is presently pursuing a PhD programme in Environment Waste management. 

Mr. Mac-Eteli initiated the electronic Authorization communications between the NNRA and its licensees to reduce authorization procedural time and served as the  contact email till the creation of the official authorization email. He served as Head Licensing Unit between 2009 – 2012 where he spare headed the setting up of minimum requirements for all practices under NNRA regulatory system. He was deployed to the South-West Zonal Office in Lagos State as a senior Regulator in 2012 and later redeployed back to the Head Office to Head the Licensing Unit again from  2013 to August 2015. He served as the Head Technical, North–Central Zonal Office Markudi,Benue State from August 2015 to February 2019. He served as the Technical Assistant to the Director General from 2019 to 2021 and is presently the Senior Technical Assistant/Adviser to the Director General/CEO till date.
