PENGASSAN KADUNA ZONE PAYS FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO NNRA

The Management of the NNRA, today received the newly elected Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Kaduna Zone, Comrade Adetayo Richard Aromolaran, and his delegation on a familiarisation visit aimed at strengthening engagement with the Association’s NNRA branch under his zonal leadership. The visit provided an opportunity for dialogue on industrial relations and the unique nature of the Authority’s specialised regulatory mandate.

During the engagement, Comrade Aromolaran highlighted key issues concerning staff training, professional development and other industrial matters. He emphasised the need for continuous capacity building and effective attention to workplace concerns, taking into account the technical and specialised responsibilities of the Authority. The meeting also provided a platform for constructive discussions on areas of mutual interest, particularly staff welfare, personnel development and the promotion of a conducive working environment to enhance organisational effectiveness.

In his remarks, the DG/CEO of the NNRA, Dr. Yau Usman Idris, congratulated Comrade Aromolaran on his election and expressed the Authority’s readiness to collaborate with the union on matters of mutual interest. He reaffirmed the importance of sustained dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding in addressing industrial relations issues, promoting staff development and advancing the NNRA’s institutional objectives. He further underscored the value of a productive relationship between Management and the union in supporting the effective discharge of the Authority’s regulatory mandate.
