NNRA SHOWCASES MANDATE AND ACHIEVEMENTS AT HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OPEN WEEK 2025

The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) proudly participated in the 2025 edition of the House of Representatives Open Week through its oversight Committee on Renewable Energy held at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

The annual event brought together key government agencies, civil society organizations, and the general public to promote transparency, foster citizen engagement, and highlight the pivotal roles of public institutions in national development.

During the event, the NNRA showcased its regulatory mandate, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear energy and radioactive materials in Nigeria. Visitors to the NNRA booth were engaged through interactive displays, informative materials, and one-on-one engagements, visitors were educated on the Authority’s milestones ranging from the licensing of nuclear facilities, oversight of radiological practices, to the enhancement of safety standards in line with international best practices. All aimed at raising awareness on nuclear safety and the Authority’s critical role in ensuring public and environmental protection.
