NNRA SEZO PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE HONORABLE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH FOR ENUGU STATE

The South East Zonal Office paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Commissioner of Health in Enugu State on 22^nd July, 2021.

The visit was to re-establish the working relationship between NNRA and the Enugu State Health Services, also to bring all government hospitals in the State under regulatory control thereby ensuring the safety of lives, properties and the environment; a core Mandate of the Authority.

The Honorable Commissioner of Health; Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu was pleased with the Authority’s visit and lamented on the deteriorating level of the health of citizens in the State due to poor health security, poor practices and regulations.

He asked that a letter be drafted and sent to the Ministry with recommendations and necessary certifications required for all government hospitals using radiation generating equipment before operating as stipulated under the NNRA regulations.

The courtesy visit ended with a group photograph and copies of the NNRA Act and Charter handed to the Honorable Commissioner.
