NNRA RECEIVES NUCLEAR AWARE AFRICA DELEGATION ON COURTESY VISIT

The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) today welcomed a delegation from Nuclear Aware Africa, led by its Programme Manager, Mrs. Mbaidoove Shimaor, on a courtesy visit to the Director General/CEO, Dr. Yau Idris, at the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja.

Dr. Idris reaffirmed the NNRA’s commitment to strategic partnerships that promote nuclear safety culture, public awareness, and stakeholder engagement. Mrs. Shimaor highlighted Nuclear Aware Africa’s programmes and expressed the organization’s interest in collaborating with the NNRA on public education, capacity building, and awareness initiatives across the continent.

The meeting explored areas of mutual interest and concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration in advancing public understanding of the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear and radiation technologies.
