NNRA PARTNERS IAEA TO CONDUCT REGIONAL WORKSHOP IN NIGERIA.

A 5 five-day regional Workshop on Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating Detection Operations is conducted by the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency in Lagos, Nigeria from November 13th to 17th 2023.

A total of 29 participants from 10 countries participated with 3 facilitators from Georgia, Pakistan and the IAEA respectively

The objectives of this workshop is to familiarize participants with the following:

1. Radiation detection operations.
2. Procurement of detection equipment and systems.
3. Implementation of the concept of operations and sustainability.

The workshop presents practical examples for planning and designing detection operations.
