NNRA PARTICIPATES IN 2025 INTERNATIONAL CANCER WEEK

The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, participated in the International Cancer Week (ICW 2025) organized by the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (NICRAT) at the Nigeria Army Conference Centre, Abuja. The event, themed “Redefining the Future of Cancer: Prevention, Access and Equity for All,” runs from October 13–17, 2025.

Representing the Director General, Mrs. Fatima Ige, General Manager, Medical Application Safety Department, reaffirmed the NNRA’s commitment to ensuring the safe use of ionizing radiation in medical applications and strengthening partnerships to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the NNRA to emphasize the importance of effective regulation in advancing radiation technology for improved cancer care and overall public health.
