NNRA ORGANIZES A THREE (3) DAY TRAINING COURSE IN GOMBE

The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) held a three (3) day training course on West African Nuclear & Radiological Monitoring, Detection and Response (WANRMDR) for its staff in the North East Zonal Office (NEZO) Gombe, from 7^th - 9^th February, 2023.

The training is the second in the series, aimed at enhancing staff capabilities on emergency response and preparedness to a potential nuclear & radiological incident. It is also to better equip Staff with the knowledge of environmental emergency monitoring and radiation protection in Nigeria.

The North-East Zonal Coordinator Mr. Sunusi Attah, who represented the DG/CEO NNRA Dr. Yau Idris, advised the participants to take the training seriously,  as it would give the Authority the heads-on start for an effective environmental protection from radiological accidents in Nigeria.

The training had in attendance Twenty One (21) Regulatory Officers from the North East Zonal Office Gombe, and will be carried out in all the six zonal offices of the Authority across the country.
