NNRA LAUNCHES CYBER-IN-A-CASE KIT

In a bid to enhance the skills, knowledge and resources in the different aspect of Nuclear Security, especially in terms of training in the workplace, the United State Department of Energy (US-DOE), donated a "Cyber in a Case Kit’’ to the National Nuclear Security Coordination Centre of Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) Abuja.

Cyber in a case Kit is a set of equipment used to provide hands-on training on securing Instrumentation and Control system, as well as physical protection systems in a Nuclear Power Plant. It is also a tool for testing and validating security measures for critical infrastructure such as nuclear and radiological facilities, helping to embrace their resilience against nuclear and cyber threats.

The purpose of the kits is to signify a proactive and holistic approach to cyber security incidents management, aiming to minimize risks and strengthen organization’s resilience against nuclear and cyber threats     

The DG/CEO, Dr.Yau Idris, during the commissioning ceremony enjoined the Authority to take advantage of the numerous opportunities embedded in the kits by organizing constant training for the staff to enhance their nuclear and cyber security knowledge.

In attendance were the Coordinator, National Nuclear Security Coordination Centre, Mr. Mac-Eteli Humphrey, and other Top- Management team of the Authority.
