The Kwara Operational Office took the spotlight at today’s edition of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) Weekly In-House Seminar, delivering an engaging and experience-rich presentation on field-level regulatory operations.

Leading the session, Engr. Taiwo Olasinde, Head of the Kwara Operational Office, provided a comprehensive overview of the office’s core responsibilities. These include the licensing and inspection of radiation facilities, stakeholder engagement, and the enforcement of safety standards across Kwara and neighbouring states.

Mr. Olasinde also shared several key achievements of the office, such as:

  • A notable increase in regulatory compliance among licensees,
  • The inspection and pre-authorization of 57 radiation facilities,
  • Enhanced reporting and documentation processes,
  • Heightened awareness of radiation protection practices, and
  • Timely enforcement of regulatory actions where necessary.
