NNRA HOSTS PERMANENT SECRETARY, MPR, TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION AND GOVERNANCE

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR), Mrs. Patience Nwakuso Oyekunle, paid a working visit to the NNRA as part of her familiarization with agencies under the Ministry’s supervision. The visit aimed to deepen institutional collaboration, enhance alignment of mandates, and promote effective governance through improved coordination and technical integrity.

Mrs. Oyekunle, who was accompanied by key officers of the Ministry, described the engagement as an opportunity to listen, learn, and gain deeper insight into the Authority’s operations. She emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and continuous engagement in achieving shared national objectives.

Responding, the Director General of NNRA, Dr. Yau Idris, underscored the Authority’s mandate in ensuring nuclear safety and radiation protection in Nigeria. He reaffirmed NNRA’s commitment to effective regulation, safety, and strong partnerships with stakeholders in the discharge of its responsibilities.
