NNRA HOST POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS FROM NSUK

Earlier today, Postgraduate students from the Department of Physics, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), had an incredible opportunity to explore the world of nuclear science and the Authority’s regulatory activities during their industrial visit to the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority’s (NNRA) Headquarters in Abuja.

A warm welcome from Mr. Mathias Vyonku, the General Manager, Admin and Human Resources, representing the Director General Dr. Yau Idris, set the stage for an eye-opening experience.

The visit was a chance for the students to gain insight into the NNRA's vital mandate and activities which is primarily the protection of lives, health, property and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.

As a result of this visit, Knowledge was gained, collaborations between NNRA and the University forged, and a brighter future in the world of physics and nuclear science established.

Mr. Idris Mustapha, a lecturer in the department who represented the Head of the Department extended warm greetings from his superiors at the university and requested for a collaborative support from the Authority to form a win-win process.

Other management staff that attended were; Mr. Farouq Ingawa, General Manager Medical Application Safety, Mr. Audu Usman, General Manager, Research Reactor Safety & Safeguards, Mr. Lanre Adeoye, Deputy General Manager, General Services and the Assistant General Manager, Information and Protocol.
