NNRA HELD ITS 2ND FIVE (5) ASIDE SOCCER

The 2^nd NNRA Five (5) Aside DG/CEO Tournament was held at the National Stadium Abuja from 13^th-15^th of January, 2022. The tournament comprised of four teams representing the four Departments of the NNRA, namely; DNS FC (Department of Nuclear Safety Football Club), DRS FC (Department of Radiological Safety Football Club), DAE FC (Department of Authorization and Enforcement Football Club) and DAF FC (Department of Administration and Finance Football Club) which is the defending champion from the 1^st Tournament in 2014.

The Tournament, second in the series was organized basically to promote physical and mental wellness in Staff as well as improve work-life balance. This tournament is particularly important as it’s the first event after the long “Covid work at home period”. The event will no doubt encourage team bonding, boost Staff engagement, help reduce stress thereby maintaining optimum health goals and encourage good team work.

Matches were played interchangeably among the four teams and the final was between DAF FC and DRS FC which ended with a 2:1 score in favor of DAF FC. When presented with the Cup, the team dedicated it to the DG/CEO Dr. Yau Idris as his birthday present.

Management Staff and Staff of the Authority were present in numbers for the event.
