As part of its corporate social responsibility the NNRA recently donated a Mobile X-ray machine to the General Hospital Katsina. In a ceremony held at the Hospital, the State Commissioner of Health Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua received the Machine on behalf of the Government of Katsina State from Engr. Ismaila M. Gumel, the Head of Northwest Zonal Office Katsina who represented the DG Dr Yau Idris.
Mobile X-ray systems are often used to perform chest radiography on patients who cannot be moved to the Radiology department. As such, mobile X-ray equipment is designed with such unique characteristics to be moved within limited spaces like in between hospital beds in small wards.
The donated machine, a JADE-40 is a powerful, innovative, highly versatile portable X-ray system suitable for a variety of clinical uses. With a simple, easy-to-use operator console, two-step foldable stand and auto lock system, is one of the most user-friendly portable X-ray systems on the market today.
Other States that benefited from NNRA X-Ray Machines donations are Bayelsa and Kano States.
