NNRA COMMENCES TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR PMS CHAMPIONS

The NNRA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR), has commenced a five-day training workshop on Change Management and Job Description Development for its Performance Management System (PMS) Champions at Check Inn Hotel, Abuja.

Representing the Director General/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Yau Idris, the General Manager, Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Lanre Adeoye, expressed appreciation to the Honourable Minister and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for their support of the initiative. He urged participants to take ownership of the PMS programme, actively engage in the training, and prepare to cascade the knowledge gained across the Authority.

Mr. Adeoye noted that the workshop is designed to equip PMS Champions with the skills required for effective goal setting, performance tracking, feedback delivery, performance evaluation, change management, and job description development. He also charged the Planning, Research and Statistics Division and the Human Resources Unit to ensure the successful implementation of the PMS, while encouraging management staff to provide the necessary support for the initiative to drive efficiency, accountability, and improved organisational performance within NNRA.

He further informed participants that the current training marks the first phase of a five-phase capacity-building programme aimed at ensuring the effective and sustainable implementation of the Performance Management System across the Authority.
