NNRA CELEBRATES NEWLY APPOINTED MINISTERS

As one of the competent agencies operating under the Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR), the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) joined other Sister Agencies to receive and officially welcome to office, the newly appointed Honorable Minister of State (Oil) Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri and Honorable Minister State (Gas), Petroleum Resources Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo at the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Auditorium Abuja, on Monday 21^st August, 2023.

Permanent Secretary MPR, Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, congratulated the Ministers and submitted that though the mandate and responsibilities of the Ministry are huge, he is assured that the administration has chosen the right hands to steer the shape of the sector into the right direction. He called for hard work and collaborations from Stakeholders in order to overcome the challenges in the sector.

The Honorable Minister of State (Oil) Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, in his brief message remarked that his administration will focus on producing leadership that brings about increment in production because new stories of a better MPR must be written. He affirmed that there would be on the spot supervision of all MDAs in the Oil sector as he believes in hard work and results.

The Minister of State (Gas) Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, while delivering his speech said his administration will be involved in necessary collaborations to ensure that the gas industry works assiduously to proffer lasting solutions to all imbalances in the oil and gas industry.

The PS directed that all MDAs will submit briefs which cover the actual state of Nigeria Gas exploration and digitalization to ascertain the state of infrastructure delivery, current transactions and projects within the Gas Industry.
