ICT DIVISION HIGHLIGHTS STRATEGIC ROLE AND DIGITAL VISION AT NNRA WEEKLY SEMINAR

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) took center stage at the NNRA Weekly In-House Seminar held on 15th October 2025. The session featured a presentation by the Head of the ICT Division, Engr. Oluwafemi Adegbulugbe, titled “Strategic Role, Emerging Challenges, and Opportunities of the ICT Division.”

Engr. Adegbulugbe, AGM ICT, emphasized the pivotal role of the ICT Division in enhancing NNRA’s operational efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation. He described the division as a key driver of innovation and a strategic enabler supporting the Authority’s regulatory mandate.

He outlined several ongoing and planned ICT initiatives, including the automation of the authorization process, digitalization of administrative operations, and the introduction of Smart Data Management through secure QR codes. He also noted the Division’s plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to strengthen data analysis and improve regulatory decision-making across the Authority’s operations.

In his remarks, the Director General/CEO, Dr. Yau Idris, commended the ICT Division for its innovative strides and reaffirmed management’s commitment to deepening digital transformation across all facets of NNRA’s operations.
