CNNC REPRESENTATIVES VISITS NNRA HQTRS

Representatives of Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Africa, led by Mr. Chen Hongyu visited the DG/CEO NNRA, Dr. Yau Idris at the Authority’s Headquarters in Abuja on 20^th June, 2023.

The visit being a follow up of the previous one held on March 8^th, with the Management of NNRA seeking CNNC to provide technical support and man power development in Cancer initiatives projects, Gamma Irradiation facilities, nuclear medicine facilities, radiation oncology facilities and Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) project amongst others, to promote bilateral cooperation between CNNC, NNRA and Nigeria at large in the area of nuclear related activities in both countries.

Dr. Yau Idris, DG NNRA expressed his gratitude to the team for the visit and remarked that the follow up visit portrays the team’s willingness to partner with the Authority in achieving nuclear safety and radiation protection in the country.

He informed the team, of his participation in the upcoming scientific visit organized by the Chinese Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center in collaboration with the IAEA, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the Peoples Republic of China in September, 2023.
