RADIOLOGICAL SAFETY DEPARTMENT OF THE NNRA HOLDS INDIVIDUAL MONITORING TRAINING WITH ZONAL AND STATE OFFICES.

A virtual training session on Individual Monitoring was organized for the Zonal and State Offices of the Authority on 2^nd of September, 2020.

The training was to intimate the Zonal and State Offices on recent acquisition of new advanced direct reading dosimeters and their accessories. The acquisition of the dosimeters is to strengthen the inspection regime of the NNRA and ensure that Inspectors are protected in the course of their duties.

The General Manager, Radiological Safety Department Dr. Isah Sambo, who was the resource person at the training, gave a detailed presentation on individual monitoring and highlights on the functionality and proper usage of the dosimeters and their accessories. He said all zonal offices will be given three dosimeters each, three dosi lights and one charger. He emphasized that all offices must assign at least two Radiological Safety Officers (RSO) who shall be responsible for the safety of Inspectors and maintenance of NNRA safety equipment.
