NNRA HOSTS EU-FNRBA WORKSHOP ON PROBABILISTIC SAFETY ASSESSMENT

The NNRA in collaboration with the Forum of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA) and the European Union Organizes Workshop on Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) in Abuja

The workshop brings together experts and regulators to strengthen capacity in the application of risk-informed approaches to nuclear safety.

Declaring the workshop open, the DG/CEO of NNRA, who also serves as the Chairman of the FNRBA, emphasized the importance of Probabilistic Safety Assessment in enhancing nuclear safety and supporting effective regulatory decision-making. He reaffirmed the commitment of the NNRA, FNRBA, and the EU to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in the advancement of nuclear safety across Africa.

The workshop intends to feature technical presentations and practical sessions aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to apply PSA methodologies in strengthening nuclear safety and regulatory effectiveness.
