DR. YAU IDRIS HELD VIRTUAL MEETING WITH THE MANAGEMENT STAFF, ZONAL COORDINATORS AND UNIT HEADS.

In line with the Federal Government’s directive on social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19, the newly appointed Director General/CEO of NNRA Dr. Yau Idris held his first meeting with the Management, Zonal Coordinators, State Office Heads and Unit Heads of the Authority on 27^th May, 2020, via the virtual medium.

The objective of the virtual meeting was to avail Zonal Coordinators and State Office Heads the opportunity to update the DG on activities and latest developments within their various offices and to chart new ways of addressing challenges.

Dr. Yau Idris in his opening remark welcomed all participants connecting from across Nigeria and pointed out that the pandemic has necessitated the NNRA to adopt an online meeting as a means of communicating/interacting with its Zonal and Operational Offices pending the lifting of the restriction on inter-state movement by the Government.

He charged NNRA Regulatory Officers to remain focused and put more effort in ensuring that all medical facilities in the Country are brought under regulatory control and also ensure the safety of operators and the general public. He thanked all 32 participants for joining the online meeting while assuring them that all concerns raised would be duly attended to.

The Zonal Coordinators and State Office Heads congratulated the DG/CEO on his recent appointment and wished him a successful tenure.
