Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 of the Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Act 1995, the Federal Government established the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) with the responsibilities for nuclear safety and radiological protection regulation in Nigeria.
